Learning outcomes

  • - The student understand the prehospital
    process (from alarming of the unit to returning
    to
    the station).
  • - The student can function as a
    healthcare professional with patient and
    relatives
  • - The student is familiar with the
    directives of care and any standard operations
    protocols for EMT level of the unit and the
    student understand the role of prehospital care
    in the healthcare system
  • - The student can perform a quality
    primary and
    secondary patient
    assessment
  • - The student is able to perform
    assessment and
    care to low-risk
    medical and trauma patients.
  • - The student recognizes abnormalities in
    the
    vital functions and
    recognizes a critical patient
  • - The student can function as part of a

    a student) in
    treatment of low-risk and high-risk
    patients.
